The Alber in question being Alber Elbaz, Lanvin's Artistic Director, one of the most influential figures in Fashion alongside his partner Alex Koo, Lanvin's Director of Marketing.

The World of Fashion might seem from the outside and the uninitiated like fickle and superficial but it definitely is not.
The Fashion Industry employs millions and generates billions every year and in hectic times, like in this case; The Paris Fashion Week, Fashion Editors, Bloggers, Journalists, Buyers and the likes run on a very tight schedule, most of the times having to attend to more than one runway show during the day, meetings, brainstorming, writing articles, etc...etc, they are busy, they have things to do, punctuality is of the essence, a 10 minutes delay could mean a missed flight or a deal gone sour.
